Our belief
The Seventh-day Adventist Church is a mainstream Protestant church with approximately 19 million members worldwide, including more than one million members in North America. The Seventh-day Adventist Church seeks to enhance quality of life for people everywhere and to let people know that Jesus is coming again soon.
Seventh-day Adventists believe a Trinity of three persons—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit—make up one God. They made salvation possible when Jesus, the Son, came to earth as a baby in Bethlehem and lived a sinless life in accordance with the Father's will. When Jesus was crucified for the sins of the people of the world and arose from the dead on the third day, victory was won for everyone.
When He returned to heaven following the resurrection, Jesus left the Holy Spirit to serve as our Comforter and Counselor. He promised to return to earth a second time to complete His plan of salvation and take His people to heaven. Seventh-day Adventists are among the believers who look forward to that day.
Seventh-day Adventists believe that God is concerned with the quality of human life, and that everything—the way we live, eat, speak, think, treat each other, and care for the world around us—is part of His plan. Our families, our children, our jobs, our talents, our money, and our time are all important to Him.
THE BIBLE TEACHES
God is our loving heavenly Father. (Isaiah 63:16; Matthew 6:9, 23, 23:9; Ephesians 4:6)
Jesus Christ our Savior is the eternal divine Son of God. (Luke 1:31-35; John 13:3-4, 5:22-24; 1 Corinthians 1:13-20, Hebrews 7:25)
Salvation and righteousness come by faith in Christ alone. (Romans 1:16, 17, 4:1-5)
Jesus, our High Priest, is now interceding for His people in the heavenly sanctuary and cleaning them from sim. (Daniel 8:14; 1 John 1:9; Hebrews 8:1-2)
The Holy Spirit is divine Comforter and guides us into truth. (John 6:16-18, 15:26, 16:7-13; Ephesians 1:13, 5:9; 2 Thessalonians 2:13)
Gift of the Holy Spirit, including the spirit of prophecy. (Joel 2:28-29; Acts 2:14-21; Ephesians 4:8-11; Hebrews 1:1-3; Revelation 12:17, 19:10)

The 10 Commandments remain the eternal standard of righteousness, which all are commanded to obey and by which all will be judged. (Exodus 20:3-17; Ecclesiastes 3:17, 8:5-6, 12:13-14; 2 Corinthians 5:10; James 2:10-12)
The seventh day Sabbath of the fourth commandment has never been changed by God’s authority. Therefore, His command to keep it holy is still in effect. (Isaiah 58:13-14, 58:13-14; Matthew 12:1-12; Hebrews 4:1-11; Luke 16:17)
The second coming of Jesus will be literal, personal and visible to all. (John 14:1-3; Acts 1:9-11; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18; Revelation 1:7)
Man by nature is mortal. Immortality is the gift of God, received only through Jesus at His second coming. (Ezekiel 18:4; Romans 6:23; 1 Corinthians 15:51-57)
The dead are neither in heaven, nor in hell, but asleep until the resurrection at the second literal return of Christ on earth. (Ecclesiastes 9:5; John 5:28-29, 11:11-14)
Those who rejected Jesus will not continue to burn eternally, but will be consumed up by fire and shall be no more. (Psalms 9:5-6; Malachi 4:1-3; Matthew 10:28)

Follower of Jesus should manifest modesty in dress and conduct, and shun worldly amusements. (Philippians 4:8-9; 1 Timothy 2:9-10; 1 John 2:15-17)
The work of the gospel and the church organization is to be supported through tithes and offerings. (1 Chronicles 9:9-14, 29:11-14; Malachi 3:8-11; Haggai 1:3-11)
The remnant church is to proclaim salvation through Christ. They are to prepare for and announce God’s judgement hour and Christ’s return. The remnant will keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus (the spirit of prophecy). (Jude 3, 14, 15; Revelation 12:17, 14:6-12, 19:10)
